Passport to Insanity
Well... things continue to be on the up-and-up. Homecoming week is proving to be a bit trying on my mental heath, what with lack of sleep and high stress levels and all... but so far, so good. The pep rally offered a huge amount of humor, and aside from some, as Mr. Laufenburger would say, techy-diffies at the beginning, I'd say was a relative success. My favorite part of the evening was definitely the 10-minute firework show to finish it off... or Alex and Linda's rendition of "Whole New World." I can't decide. I will never look at Aladdin the same way again... but this is why I like him so much (Alex not Aladdin).
Things are going really well in that department... and this is all I'm going to say. I value privacy to some extent, and have come to the conclusion that moments are much more intimate when the details are kept between the two people sharing them... but this is becoming so sappy I could gag. NEXT.
My next point is this: I really like the early stages of relationships. Not for the obvious reason that it's new or exciting, but because when you really think about it, you know absolutely nothing about that person. To me, this is more exciting than how cute they are, or how nice their butt looks in those pants. I love getting the chance to discover someone, no matter how long it takes--and really, the longer the better. It makes for good discussion.
It's Wednesday. I'm halfway through Hell Week. Keep on truckin'.
Later days, shining, shimmering, splendid.
