Cornfields and Culture

Can I get a whoop whoop? Yay for it being 11:00 pm and yay for my severe inability of rising to wakeness in the A of M. Eff it right?

So I's got lots on my mind as of late - like most students with college staring them in the face and making them flinch cuz it's got creepy eyes. (Forgive the absurdness - it's naturally do to lack of sleep) It's basically down to these two schools: St. Olaf vs. Augsburg. I'm personally leaning towards Augsburg... but my 'rents and famille are basically standing at the gates of Olaf with checks and pen in hand smilin' real big-like... and I mean no doubt about it, its a good school, it's prestigious, it's renown, it's everything one should want in a college... but it's not in my city. What the hell would I do without my city?? I know I could come home to it whenever I wanted... but I want to LIVE in it. It's different, completely different. Ya know... graduate in 4 with my double English-art major and move into some luscious downtown loft and my job designing magazine layouts, complete with kickass cover-art, bomb diggity stories and hell - I'll own the whole freaking magazine!! Now someone please tell me how I might accomplish that when I live in Northfield??

Plus - what about all the random stuff I'm going to want to do in the city during the week? Plays at the Jeune Lune, concerts at First Ave, afternoon excursions to Uptown and/or Grand Avenue, rendez-vous at the Weisman/Minneapolis Institute of Art/MCAD, trips to the Loft and Tuesday night poetry slams at Kieren's... how the hell am I going to get all that if I go to Olaf? Ugh... to be torn is frustration.

Later days, collegeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
